Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years design and development experience.
1+ years exposure to development and analytics based on Hadoop environment using Python
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Looking for experienced technologists to support our advanced analytics teams working on our next generation Hadoop platform. Successful candidate will have deep understanding and prior experience with Python and associated libraries used to perform data analytics, modeling, linear regression, and ML and will also have a software engineering orientation. Duties will include productionalization and support of analytical insights and proprietary algorithms created by our advanced analytics teams. The role is being created to assist in maintaining, and deploying our standard, reusable, highly optimized Python environment for data scientists.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
Coding, automation, and performance tuning of production analytical processes
Source code management and oversight of release processes with respect to analytics
Creation and maintenance of benchmark datasets for consumption by a community of Data Scientists
Assist and Train Data Analysts regarding Hadoop programming practices to maximize performance.
Support, test, and troubleshoot development and production issues and problems as they arise.
Research emerging Hadoop based technology and advise team when new tech might be needed
Work with our IT team in regards to changes to hardware, OS, network and security configurations and settings.
Special Skills and Qualifications:
Must be highly proficient in a majority of the following domains:
o Big data technology, Hadoop (HortonWorks preferred)
o SQL SqlServer, Hive, Spark
o Performance Tuning, Platform Configuration/Tuning, Load Balancing, Clustering
o Linux, unix command line and scripting
o Programming experience in 2 or more languages such as: Python, .NET, C#, C++, Java, R
Must have exposure to complete product life cycle, with formal training or experience in software revision control and test methodologies.
Extensive technology and/or industry knowledge is preferred, especially in the area of researching new and emerging technologies to realize development or product cost efficiencies.
Ability to provide leadership and communicate effectively verbally and through written documentation, meetings and presentations to local and distributed teams.
Results oriented and readily demonstrate comprehensive use of formal software development methodologies to achieve the desired business outcome.
Experience developing within a global delivery model
Experience in Health Care Claims Data and Claims Formats / HL7, EDI, NCPDP, etc.
Experience in health care, and Rx industry
Knowledge of hospital billing and contracting methodologies
Knowledge of claims auditing for financial recovery and/or overpayment avoidance
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years design and development experience.
2 years exposure to development and analytics based on Hadoop environment using Python
BS or above in Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent education-experience
