OST, Inc, a growing and dynamic consulting company, is seeking a SharePoint/.Net Developer. Travel to our DC HQ near the Dupont Metro station will be needed but the position is based at our client's DC location.
Participation in design and development activities for system development and maintenance. Design and development support shall include development in C#, ASP, .NET 2.0, XML, Visual Studio, SharePoint, Oracle and Microsoft SQL along with other languages, applications, and databases to be implemented at an enterprise level, as needed.
Strong skills with SharePoint development and architecture.
Provides technical support in the areas of testing, system analysis, and software applications migration/consolidation. The candidate will perform analysis and develop plans for migrating software applications. Candidate will develop and execute test plans. Performs system administration tasks as necessary. Helps gather requirements for future systems. Evaluates COTS software.
Performs all life cycle support functions associated with systems engineering of information system projects. Performs research, planning, design, cost-benefit trade-off analysis, specification development, and all aspects of systems analysis of IT systems. Responsible for standards and interface development; certifications; and test and evaluations of complex systems.
Analyze and understand clients' IT requirements, organization functions, and decision making processes. Applies standard SDLC practices and processes.
Requirements:
BS in scientific or technical discipline, 4 years experience in systems engineering, analysis, integration, and life cycle engineering support.
Ability to have a SECRET clearance or currently has Secret clearance, US Citizenship is required.
Ability and desire to work on several disperse projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Software testing experience.
Experience with IBM Rational Suite
SharePoint design/development/admin experience
Must have at least two of the following:
Experience developing test plans and cases
Software development experience
Self motivating, able to work independently
Excellent skills with MS Office products
