Team Center Architect; ; Teamcenter Solutions Architect

Primary Responsibilities:
* Drive the solution architecture and contribute with technical and business knowledge expertise for migration from Teamcenter Enterprise to Teamcenter Unified. (8.3 and above)
* Understand the client Teamcenter implementation and support the migration process from legacy to Teamcenter Unified Architecture.
* Develop PLM architecture strategies, business process standardization, and IT architecture roadmap around the Teamcenter UA functions.
* Provide solutions (per the SLAs) to any user / production issues reported by various users accessing Teamcenter globally
* Train & mentor PLM team members on the nuances of Teamcenter technology and its implementation at various clients
* Create a knowledge base out of ongoing activities that helps in improving the productivity of the team and reduce costs
* Perform a due diligence & provide an impact analysis for any changes required in Teamcenter production instance
* Understand the uniqueness and similarities in Teamcenter deployments done for various functional groups and make sure that self and the team are geared up technically to help the diverse user community

Education / Qualification:
* Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:
* 8+ years of experience in upgrading, migrating, implementing & supporting PLM systems like Teamcenter (Unified, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc)
* 3+ years of hands on experience in Teamcenter Unified Architecture - Requirements gathering, solution conceptualization, implementation & support
* Worked for global customers and a large user base (3000+) for 2 to 3 rollouts with a cumulative experience of at least a year in such an environment
* Supported global user community on Teamcenter engineering with a good track record of adhering to the SLAs. 1 year experience minimum
* Prior work experience in product design either in Aerospace / automotive industry

Professional skills / knowledge:
* Teamcenter Unified product implementation & support for large deployment with 3000+ global users
* Basic exposure to 3D modeling & model data management using MCAD software such as NX, Pro/E, CATIA
* Basic exposure to ECAD software such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence, MathCAD
* Good understanding of Product Life Cycle Management concepts and their application in the area of Mechanical Design, Bill of Materials, Document Management, Product change/ configuration management, collaborative product development and Portfolio Management
* Good understanding of product design & development processes. Aerospace Gas Turbine Engine domain knowledge is preferred
* Good in troubleshooting Teamcenter Unified related problems that the user may face while using Teamcenter for product design and provide solutions per the deployment plan
* Understand all the 4 tiers of Teamcenter and have a clear understanding of its architecture, services, data model, security, data replication and be able to address any issues raising out of production instance per the SLA"s by working with the Teamcenter sys administrator as necessary
* Ability to train / mentor the team members on Teamcenter Engg implementation & support

Behavioral skills:
* Good in communication as the job involves interacting with the end users of Teamcenter directly at various global locations
* Good problem solving approach to resolve the issues per the SLAs agreed upon
* Quick learner - Need to be familiar with atleast 5 Teamcenter deployments for the different functional groups
* Mentor - Should be able to train / mentor the support engineers and help them to get comfortable in handling support issues
