Position: Long term contract to hire Location: Bangalore Exp: 8++yrs Skills: 8+ years administering Oracle databases,- Solaris o/s with Sun Cluster,- Oracle RAC and ASM experience is desirable - BRTools experience,- Experience with SAP Support Portal,- In-depth knowledge of administration and understanding of Oracle Database technologies - In-depth knowledge on Oracle DBA functions in a UNIX environment running SAP products,- Database tuning and performance analysis,- Space management and planning - Oracle Database Upgrades and Patches,- Provide day-to-day support of the Oracle databases in development, test and production,- Oracle 11g experience - Backup and recovery of databases (RMAN),- Flash Recovery Area,- DataGuard and DataGuard Broker - Database security setup,- DDL generation from Erwin data models and DDL implementation in database - Database monitoring and tuning,- Strong knowledge of Linux-Unix environment - Unix shell scripting skills,- Database management tools like OEM - Ability to multitask achieving high productivity and meet SLAs - High oral and written communication skills,- Ability to effectively communicate with infrastructure and client partners locally and in other locations RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform duties of the job as database administrator in activities of creation, maintenance, backups, restores, security setup and other related aspects of DBA - Ensure health, availability and recoverability of databases in production and non-production environments - Automate and optimize routine tasks as required to meet SLAs, higher accuracy and productivity - Work under limited supervision executing the responsibilities of the job and ensure that all commitments and deliverables are met - Perform other functions related to the assignment as required Experienced Oracle DBA on Solaris/Unix environment in Oracle 11g DBA, Oracle databases that support SAP,- In-depth knowledge of administration and understanding of Oracle Database technologies - In-depth knowledge on Oracle DBA functions in a UNIX environment running SAP products Performs database infrastructure management, troubleshooting, application development DDLs, performance tuning and problem support Perform DBA activities like backups, tablespace management, troubleshooting, patching and upgrades Performance tuning of application SQLs and database Work with application development teams for DDL generation, volumetrics and execution of DDLs Work with Target"s infrastructure teams, Oracle support and DBAs for troubleshooting and completing install/configure pre-requisites Works with limited supervision, often directly interacting with development team clients Rehman Shaik People Prime Worldwide Pvt Ltd HR- Recruitment Email: rehman@people-prime.com Website: www.people-prime.com 2nd Floor, Plot no. 138, HIG, 6th Phase ,Kukatpally, Hyderabad - 500072 Is this job relevant to you?
