The key aspects of this role:
Perform data analysis and facilitate in delivery to all end users.
Supervise all client issues and coordinate with managers and supervisors and facilitate in deliverables.
Make architectural decisions for the data analytics platform and solutions.
Creating architectures & designs for new solutions around existing and new concepts.
Drive technology & tool choices for your team & be responsible for them.
Participating in architecture discussions, design reviews & code reviews.
Actively participate in development along with team members for as much as 50% of their time, creating modules & systems that can then be treated as a working reflection of the best practices.
Being responsible for Scaling, Performance & Quality for the team.
Experiment with new & relevant technologies and tools, and drive adoption while measuring yourself on the impact you are able to create.
Define & drive implementation of long term technology vision for your product & team.
Provides strong technical leadership in adopting and contributing to open source technologies related to BigData across the company.
Drives operational excellence through root cause analysis and continuous improvement for BigData technologies and processes and contributes back to open source community.
Work closely with scrum team to guide the team members on the architectural and design principles as per the product strategy and vision.
Evaluate design alternatives using cost benefit analysis or other appropriate techniques.
Works closely with the product manager/owner to understand the business needs and translate them into viable architectural and design blueprint.
To be the right fit, you'll need:
6+ years of experience on Java and -3-5 Years of Big Data Eco-System experience Cloudera, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PIG, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Impala, among others and Linux.
Experience with various data types (e.g. Relational, Unstructured, Hierarchical, and Semi-Structured Data Sets)
High-level knowledge on any public cloud environments preferably AWS, MS Azure
High-level knowledge on the Spark eco-system
Strong web application development experience using Core Java, J2EE, and Web Services
More than two years of designing and development experience (software components in big data)
Experience of setting up Hadoop clusters and monitoring HDFS clusters
Knowledge and/or experience of large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions such as Amazon Web Services or Elastic MapReduce development.
Experience in managing and manipulating large, complex datasets
Familiarity with data-loading tools such as Sqoop
Excellent written and verbal communication
Understanding of using statistical modeling and/or machine learning techniques to build models that have driven company decision making
Technical expert with in-depth programming knowledge and has strong technical skills combined with project management and leadership ability.
Its good to have:
60% & above in any two of the following and 55% & above in the third
oSecondary, Higher Secondary (or it s equivalent) and Graduation level (aggregate)
Strong Communication & interpersonal Skills.
