The Product
FusionBanking Essence is a modern, state of the art, scalable, J2EE, SOA based universal banking solution that has been deployed by a large number of banks and financial institutions around the globe. It is a multi-channel solution that supports branches, internet banking, ATM and point of sale. Its multi-dimensional data model allows banks to get a holistic 360 degree view of their customers.
The Responsibilities
* Engage in initial customer implementations offshore alongside professional services, Misys solution delivery centre and partners to manage overall performance related issues in both proactive and reactive way.
* Formalize guidelines/best practices around database and J2EE application server performance with the relevance to application architecture.
* Contribute, assist and resolve performance issues reported after go-live
* Advisory and governance around scalability and performance aspects of product customization.
* Contribute towards collateral and delivery of enablement programs related to performance tuning, system troubleshooting and application monitoring.
* Participate in functional and technical enablement of Core Banking product suite to various internal and external product consumers.
* Drive improvements in various product areas including performance, scalability and availability by providing periodic feedback and factual data based on implementation experience to Product Management and Engineering.
* As a point of contact for Sales and Pre-sales team, assist them in answering RFPs covering complex product related functional, technical and architectural areas
The Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* 10+ years experience in Core Banking domain preferably in a product development company
* Should have worked in performance tuning of Core Banking product or complex financial software packages.
* Familiarity and experience around industry standard concepts, practices and processes followed in resolving system performance issues.
* Should be able to collaborate with customer services, professional services, product engineering, L3 and other teams to identify and resolve critical product performance issues
* Experience/ability to narrow down performance issues from end to end enterprise solution is mandatory.
* Should have exposure in handling reactive performance issues in production environments with a passion for performance optimization in the areas of operating systems, databases, J2EE applications and application architecture.
* Should be well versed with optimization and monitoring techniques in the areas of Unix operating system, J2EE application servers, database servers, messaging and queuing software as well as system internals in these areas of technology.
* Background in performance testing concepts is a plus.
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to transform raw data into meaningful graphs for analysis and present findings.
