Title: Architect
Job Summary: The overall purpose of this position is to architect, lead and implement projects and solutions independently at GIEEE. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for Architecture that will help define and build out modern solutions for the IEEE. The role typically reports to a Digital CoE Manager and manages no direct reports. This position works minimal supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Review and implement best practices in Architecture.
* Analyze current state; visualize future state and the means to bridge the gap.
* Define and implement strategies to build application architecture for the enterprise.
* Create and review application architecture and design.
* Recommend software and hardware needed to implement the architecture needs of the system.
* Manage and Maintain relevant documentation.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Applications/ Computer Science /Mathematics/Statistics/ related fields.
* 6+ years' experience in Application Architecture
* 6+ years' experience in relevant technology tool
* 6+ years' experience in Design and architecture experience
* 10+ years' experience in Requirements & Problem Analysis
* 10+ years' experience in SQL, PL/SQL and other technology tools.
Skills & Other Requirements:
* Experience in evaluating tools and making recommendations
* Excellent Communication and Consensus building abilities
* Ability to work independently and play a lead role.
* Knowledge of and exposure to latest trends in Architecture
* Able to implement best practices in methodology, and architecture.
