Primary Responsibilities:

* Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
* Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
* Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
* Package and support deployment of releases.
* Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
* Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
* Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
* Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
* Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
* Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
* Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
* Ability to understand existing application programs and systems, troubleshoot issues, isolate problems and identify technical solutions

Required Skills:
* Graduate degree and 9+ years relevant experience
* 8+ years of experience with Java and PHP in a Linux (LAMP, Apache, MySQL) environment
* 8+ years of enterprise-class customer facing web development experience
* Fluent in Java, Spring, Spring data, Hibernate, Web services, Junit, XML, XSLT, Dojo, Indium, Javascript, HTML, JSF, JS, Jqueries, Icefaces, CSS, MySql, Groovy, GIT, Eclipse, Spring, Zend and Symfony Frameworks, ANT & Windows C++ with experience on windows native apps with SQL, Maven, Tomcat, and shell scripts
* Strong knowledge of web protocols, including PHP, Perl, XML, SOAP, JSON, AJAX, REST, CSS pre-processors, Web Services, Design Patterns and any unit testing framework (JUnit).
* Fluent in MS SQL Server, DB architecture/design, SQL development
* Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL and ORM technologies
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Experienced with Testing framework
* Experience building secure web applications, user authentication, N-Tier architecture, DB/file encryption techniques
* Excellent debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving browsers, OS and webservices.
* Experience advocating for and using new technology to build applications of the future
* Passionate about building high-quality systems
* Familiarity with performance analysis of a web application
* Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities
* Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
* Knowledge of software design methodologies and tools, functional and performance testing tools including automated testing
* Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
* Experience with multi-threading and concurrency
* Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
* Experience with user interface design and prototyping
* Sound Knowledge of Threading, Performance Optimization and Security Analysis
* Strong issue resolution skills.
* Strong data analysis skills and ability to solve complex problems independently and to generate innovative solutions.
