Position: Tech Lead / Java Developer
Experience: 8-13 Years
Qualification: BS/MS/MCA/B.E
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for one or more modules, components or product features
2. Design and implement new system components and/or functionality
3. Improve the design of existing system components and/or functionality
4. Evaluate and improve functionality and/or performance of components and system
5. Evaluate and recommend open-source technologies relevant for the system
6. Translate requirements and functional specifications into design and implementation
7. Review code and technical designs
8. Understand and contribute to system architecture
9. Ensure development standards, processes and best practices are followed. Evaluate and recommend tools and best practices to development teams
Qualifications and Experience
1. BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
2. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns
3. Excellent coding skills in multiple languages including Java
4. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Unix/Linux environments and operating system fundamentals
5. 8 years of overall experience including 5 years in Core Java and J2EE on Linux/Unix OS
6. Deep understanding of web services concepts and protocols
7. Experience developing highly scalable applications that handle huge traffic and large amounts of data
8. Solid understanding and experience of Application Server and middleware technologies.
9. Experience with open source technologies and frameworks such as Struts, Spring, and Hibernate
10. Sound knowledge of J2EE deployment and non-functional aspects such as performance, availability, and scalability
11. Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
12. Experience working in a fast paced environment with short timelines
13. Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or XP
