Lead Application Engineer
The Mobile Solution Architect will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams with direct responsibilities for the overall mobile technology roadmap, mobile application architecture and mobile application specification as part of mobile infrastructure. The position requires solid knowledge, experience and background of mobile technology, mobile operating systems and mobile industry standards as well as solid coding and design skills. The mobile solution architect will establish and maintain technology standards, evaluate new technologies and technology innovation. The mobile application architect will be responsible for mobile technology planning and overall mobile application architecture and functional specifications. This role requires a team player who is well versed in the large scale commercial software development, organized, detail oriented and able to deliver results on-time and within budget. It also requires the candidate to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external teams - vendors, business development, product manager, UI teams and the engineering team. .
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
* Mobile architect for mobile client (iPhone, Android, Surface) application architecture, user, functional and technical requirements
* Hands on Development on iPhone, Android, surface and not a management position
* Collaborate, Lead, and Inspire other mobile engineers
* Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for mobile or web applications
* Actively investigate interesting new tools and techniques
* Rapid prototyping
* Software platform and tool evaluation, selection, and optimization
* Develop criteria to be used when sxelecting technology and software engineering platforms
* Implementation and optimization of software engineering platforms and tools
* Enterprise software integrations
o Design interfaces between mobile solutions and existing and/or brand new enterprise application servers and applications
o Implement web services that are optimized around mobile app consumption
* Must be able to think strategically and execute tactically

o Passionate about working in a small, aggressive team in a fast-paced environment
o Ready, capable, and willing to learn new technology as project needs dictate
Qualification
Education and Experience Requirements
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science
* 8+ years experience in professional mobile software development
* 3+ years experience in iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile and feature phone OSs
* Guru in Objective C, iPhone SDK, Java, Android SDK
* Released native mobile applications on both iPhone and Android with tens of thousands of users
* Strong experience in developing with user, functional and system requirements.
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to effectively interact with product managers and other organizational units such as HF, MPM, Engineering, QA and Operations
* Strong understanding of the server side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
* Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment
* Proven experience with various mobile services such as location, messaging, multi-media, etc
