Job Description:
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, knowledge of SQL 2012 a plus. This is not a systems administrator DBA position - schema and stored procedure development will be core activities of this role.
Skills
Extensive experience with SQL Server Database objects with the ability to leverage T-SQL to manipulate them
Strong understanding of Microsoft Best Practices for SQL Server Configuration
Extensive experience Creating and Optimizing Database Queries, Performance Tuning, Indexes, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Reports.
Must be able to demonstrate experience managing the set up and upgrades of complex databases, including interfacing with source control and change control in order to generate creation, upgrade, and maintenance scripts
Experience with SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
Data Access Layer, .Net Framework 4.5
Roles & responsibilities
Leverage Change Control processes for all SQL Server changes made in Production environment
Performance-tune and optimize all databases
Develop, test and administer database backup and recovery procedures
Perform database performance and security monitoring, create T-SQL Stored procedures, Views, and Functions
Preferred Requirements:
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
Strong hands on TSQL, refactoring and performance tuning
