Experience required for the Job: 7 - 11 years Job Location: Chennai Apply Now   Reply Dear Candidate, Hi This is Gayathri from Career Blossom Consultants.,Chennai Please find the job Details with my client, a US Based MNC..a financial software and a product based MNC in Chennai/ Immediately Requires: ORACLE DBA Professionals- 7+yrs relevant exp Should be willing to work in niight shift and should have strong skill in Linux and exposure to networking etc. Role & Responsibilities: * Support the Oracle non-production and production databases administration as needed, including daily operations, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and after hours on-call support. * Provide database administration support to the entire system development lifecycle of all IT projects as needed, including review/approval of database schema changes, stored procedures, SQLs/PL/SQL and other database related objects. * Monitor DBA service desk queue and resolve cases submitted by users and internal teams. * Refresh Non-Prod databases and schema as needed. * Database performance monitoring and SQL tuning using tools like AWR, ADDM, Explain plan, and TKPROF. * Deploy database on premises and on-cloud platform. * Manage internal & on-cloud Linux systems. * Manage database security and on-cloud system security. * Automate day to day DBA task using Shell or Perl scripts. * Support external SOC audits from DBA end. * Setup database backups using RMAN, expdp, and conduct restore/recovery tasks as needed. Qualifications (Key Skills/Education and Experience): * BS in CS/EE with minimum 7-8 years of experience as hands-on Oracle DBA. * Strong Experience using Oracle 10g, 11g, and experience working with 12c. * Excellent understanding/troubleshooting skills of Oracle technologies and related products. * Hands-on experience working with cloud platform like AWS, or Rackspace etc. * Strong skills with Unix/Linux including deploying VMs, managing mount points, and users/groups. * Strong experience in Performance Tuning - SQL/Database, use of AWR/ADDM. * Well-versed in implementing local recovery and disaster recovery procedures and experienced with Oracle RMAN for large databases. * Strong experience in scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python. * Good understanding of networking concepts like firewalls, subnets, network monitoring. * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
