Development Manager - Product Development
The PHP Development Manager is accountable for mentoring and providing technical and thought leadership to a team of developers and Technical Leads working in an agile development environment. This person will be defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the product vision. This is a technical hands-on role where the person will need to help the team to design, develop, test, debug, and deploy a highly-available and award-winning Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) application in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment using best-of-breed PHP technologies. An ideal candidate will be an extremely proficient PHP developer who will be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies. They will be able to address mission critical application diagnostics and troubleshooting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work together with the product owners and stakeholders to plan and execute projects
* Ensure that the team has appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver product features
* Provide guidance to team in establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
* Help developers with the design, development, implementation and test of critical business applications using best-of-breed PHP technologies
* Work with traditional software lifecycle methodologies
* Work effectively in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance and technical guidance to other team members as required
* QA testing of all code
* Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards
* Solid time management skills
* Work with other departments to ensure consistent focus on producing quality deliverables in a timely manner
* Research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes
* Work effectively under pressure and across multiple projects with short deadlines and evolving requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
* 8+ years Development experience
* Experience with and knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, and other related web technologies
* Experience with and knowledge of PHP code application development and deployment
* Facility with SQL and one or more relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL Server
* Experience with version control software, such as CVS
* Full exposure to and understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle
* Excellent object-oriented design and programming skills, including strong working knowledge and experience in using design patterns
* Knowledge of Python a plus
* Web Services experience also a plus
The ideal PHP Development Manager will have strong verbal and written communication skills, will be a true team player with a commitment to success, and will be able to excel in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing development environment.
Budget:- 16 Lac
Note: Preferred Resumes would be someone who is worked on PHP 5 with good DB skills.
