A SQL-BI Engineer candidate should demonstrate the ability to leverage expert judgment for analysis and design, and has developed and implementation of at least one large technical software system. They are responsible for estimations, design and implementation of components required for complex application features.
Qualifications:
* At least 8 years of industry experience with SQL Server based solutions.
* Overall high-level understanding of Microsoft Application Infrastructure stacks with hands-on experience on following products mandatory
o T-SQL Development is must. Candidate should be strong in skills and concepts given below.
Joins and other parts of the select query.
Stored procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views etc.
CTE, OUTPUT clause and Error handling.
Experience with performance tuning and execution plans is added advantage.
o Database Modeling and Designing is must.
SQL Data Types and Constrains. Normalization and De-normalization.
Indexes.
Normalization and De-normalization.
System databases.
Any one of the following three is must.
o SSIS Design and Development
o SQL Analysis Services Design and Development
o SQL Reporting Services Design and Development
* Basic knowledge of C# or VB.net is an advantage
* SQL Server 2005/2008 MCTS Certifications is an advantage
* Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
* Demonstrated proficiency in Modular and Scalable design using Best Practices.
Responsibilities:
Candidate should be prepared to perform the following functions:
* Ability to analyze and provide inputs pertaining to DB architecture and Implementation
* Define Solution Design
* Understand Requirements and provide estimates
* Ability to Develop, Package and Deploy SSIS, SSAS and SSRS based solutions.
* Able to troubleshoot and provide quick response on Production Issues
* Understand and apply project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, RUP and MSF
* Ensure technical quality of a sub system
