We would like to consider you for the profile of iOS Technology Specialist with our esteemed client, a leading independent Financial Research major.
Our client currently enjoys operations across 5 continents & 30 countries. With their strength lying in primary research, publishing & analysis they currently look into all major investment verticals; namely, equity, commodity, gold, silver, foreign exchange, precious metals/stones, etc.
The Team:
Mobile Solutions Team, which is a Mobile CoE within the Products division. The Products division is responsible for management and innovation of the products/capabilities that comprise the Company"s suite of offerings, including software, data, and related services.
Responsibilities:
1 Take a strong hands-on role to lead development of iOS mobile solutions based on User Stories and Technical Requirement.
2. Manage team of 5+ iOS Developers for development of new as well as existing iOS applications. Cultivate a culture of high energy and technical excellence.
3. Take product ownership and responsibility for product quality, ensuring process and quality adherence through peer reviews, code reviews
and unit test results.
4, Coordinate with onshore / onsite mobile technology lead throughout the SDLC process from technical design specs, development, unit
testing, bug fix, performance testing and integration testing.
5. Distribution of work to members as per schedules, guiding team for technical challenges, tracking and reporting progress.
6. Collaborate on good object-oriented designs and domain modeling. Adhere to good agile practices like Refactoring, Test Driven Development
and Continuous Integration.
7. Create a platform / framework, based on which mobile solutions for multiple business services can be built.
8. Apply DevOps practices in areas of continuous and automated deployment. Analyze and remediate production issues, and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the system architecture.
9. Act as software guardian. Own non-functional requirement, architectural direction, code quality and address technical debt.
10. Appraise and mentor team members.
Desired Profile and Technical Skills:
1. Tech-savvy hands-on professional with 7+ years of total software development experience including excellent knowledge of Objective C.
Knowledge of Java will be a plus.
2. Strong knowledge of object-oriented design including design patterns, domain driven design, and their applicability. Good understanding of
various phases of SDLC lifecycle is a must.
3. 2+ years of hands-on experience in architecting & developing enterprise mobile applications on iOS using native, hybrid and browser based
technologies (HTML5, CSS3 and JS). Experience with other mobile platforms including Android will be a plus.
4. Possesses deep understanding of iOS Core OS Layer, Core Service Layer, Media Layer and the Cocoa Touch Layer. Implementation experience with Apple Push Notification Service is a must.
5. Has expert level skill for runtime performance analysis and debugging using Instruments in XCode.
6. Well versed with Agile / Scrum development processes & environment. Exposure to best practices like Refactoring, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration will be an advantage.
7. Experience with RESTful web services is a must.
8. Exposure to tools like JIRA, Jenkins and Crucible will be an advantage.
9. Experience with source code management techniques using SVN or Git will be an advantage.
10. Experience with automated testing using UIAutomation, Frank, Robotium or Appium will be an advantage.
11. Knowledge of Unix / Linux and exposure to databases will be a plus.
12. Exposure and contribution to open source projects will be a big plus.
