Job Description:
Work Location: Bangalore
Experience: 7 – 12 Years.
The candidate will function as an Oracle DBA, participating in the design, implementation and support of database systems. This will be a very hands-on role requiring Oracle expertise with problem analysis and resolution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The candidate will function as an Oracle DBA, participating in the design, implementation and support of database systems. This will be a very hands-on role requiring Oracle expertise with problem analysis and resolution.
Experience and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors or Masters
Skill set and specific job responsibilities:
- Tuning and optimizing SQL & PL/SQL queries
- Independently perform database administration activities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database related problems quickly
- Thorough understanding of database concepts, architecture and practices
- Experience with PL/SQL, Golden Gate, Sybase, Exadata or Netezza is a big plus
- Plan and coordinate database upgrades and patching.
- Plan and implement production installs in a 7 x 24 environment.
- Work with design & development teams and provide dba recommendations & day to day support
- 12 x 7 on-call rotation for production support, database maintenance, housekeeping, and code installations
