Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Principle CS Engineer will be involved in gathering requirements from Customer and in assisting the Lead/Senior Technical Architect in preparing a high level solution based on the Supportsoft products, and prepare effort estimates and timelines for developing and delivering this solution. He/She will be involved in preparing a requirements specifications and detailed technical design specifications. He/She will be responsible for ensuring all specified Quality processes are followed by the team.
Will be responsible for leading a team of software developers in the development and testing of new software applications and solutions.
Will be needed to be preparing a requirement specification based on customer specified functional requirements
Will be needed to design the solution and preparing the technical design specifications
Builds and assembles prototype assimilations of software applications and solutions as directed.
May be needed to travel to onshore location to take knowledge transfer from onshore team and will be responsible for imparting that knowledge to the other team members.
Writes code, completes programming and debugs software applications and solutions.
Required to do code reviews, technical reviews.
Deliver high quality software applications and solutions that are extensible and scalable within the specified timeline.
Ability to work with multiple customers and projects during the different phases of their deployment and pro-actively engage with the customers to update the action items and the status of projects to Project/Team lead. Should work with minimal supervision
Leads a project or project section as required. In addition, reviews projects against goals and provides status reports.
Advises team/project lead on technical problems and direction.
Actively contribute into test plans and test cases created by QA. Create and perform unit tests and execute automated tests and validate conformance to business requirements.
Participate in the complete software development life cycle from requirement gathering to deployment of the product.
Participate in interviewing and hiring practices as directed and advised by management team
Mentors Software Developers.
Undertake any other assignments for which the company's management may request your participation from time to time.
Minimum Experience and Skills:
*10+ years of experience in the software industry required.
*Expert in development environments, debugging tools, source control systems.
*Must have expert level programming, designing and debugging ability on Microsoft platform
*Well versed in Scripting languages JavaScript, and VBScript
*Well versed with database systems SQL Server and T-SQL.
*Experience in working with Windows Operating system - particularly Log file analysis, Windows config files, Event Viewer files.
*Very good understanding of Web Servers (IIS), HTTP, Digital Certificates, Web Services, standard protocols like SOAP and LDAP.
*Expert in identifying and fulfilling technical, functional and non-functional requirements of software.
*Able to code and work with developers to fulfill conceptual integrity of actual code with desired Product and Solution Architecture.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Able to cultivate interpersonal Customer/Partner relationships and cohesive team interactions and communications.
*Assertive self-starter with excellent organizational skills
*Understands Agile methodology and Product Development Lifecycle (design, coding, testing, Maintenance etc.)
Mandatory skills:
Advanced Programming Skills- .NET programming (C#), Web programming (HTML, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, VBScript, Classic ASP), Database programming (T-SQL), Scripting languages (VBScript), Ajax, Web Services (SOAP)
Application servers/Configuration Tools: IIS
Database: SQL Server
*Desirable skills: TFS, Powershell, Providing Functional and Technical Training
Other Desired Experience and Skills:
*Ability to Design and Implement Enterprise Class Highly Scalable Applications in Microsoft Technologies
*Good Exposure in requirements gathering, documenting requirements specification and architecture for customer deployments
*Hands on Solution design expertise to meet customer requirements.
*Ability to Lead and Mentor team of Software Developers

With regard to the online assessment, please find some general information/instructions:
* The assessment has two parts: an untimed Personality Profile and a timed (22 minute) Aptitude section.
* It should take you about 45 minutes to complete both portions of the assessment.
* Aptitude test consists of 50 questions and you would be required to answer in 22 minutes(timer limit)
* The areas covered included:
- Alphabetical series
- Graphical Series
- General English
- Basic Arithmetic
* Do not spend too much time on any one question(As you would be needed to complete all 50 questions to clear the aptitude test).
* There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
* You must answer each question before moving forward(You cannot toggle between questions).
* It is recommended that you move through the assessment at a steady to swift pace. Once you begin the assessment, it cannot be restarted or stopped.
