Contact Person â€' Srilatha.N Job Discription: Oracle Database Administrator Position Overview: We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented and quality-focused oracle DBA with strong skills using oracle 10g/11g RAC database to support development, testing, certification and production environments. As a team member, you will contribute to the eCommerce Team by providing exceptional services in support of global eCommerce developer community, deploying database changes supporting code releases, performance tuning using tested and repeatable methods, while maintaining the industry leading site availability and SLA goals. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; M.S. in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. DBA Qualifications * Preferably a BS in computer science or related engineering field * Last 3 years of experience on 10g and 11g RAC databases * Eight plus years of general database experience * Five or more years for RAC knowledge * Has Oracle DBA certification * Experience with high transaction processing systems * Strong scripting knowledge for automation * Plus to have MSSQL and MySQL experience * Plus to have knowledge of JAVA DBA Skills Required * Deep understanding of AWR and ASH reports * Deep understanding of Oracle metrics * Preferred to have knowledge of Oracle Baselines and SQL Plan Management Other Skills: * Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools * A good understanding of the underlying operating system * A good knowledge of physical database design * Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring * Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios * A good knowledge of Oracle security management * A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources * A good knowledge Oracle data integrity * Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems * Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle * A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning * A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators * Provide a strategic database direction for the organization * A DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines * A DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business * Knowledge of Agile Scrum process EXP: 7 - 10YRS Interested candidates revert back with updated CV as an acknowledgement.
