Requirement: Oracle DBA cum Application Support associate Experience: 6 Yrs- 8 Yrs EDUCATION: BE / B.Tech / M. Tech / MCA Location: Bangalore ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB: * Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, & production usage * Responsible for Application support in related to DB activities and system administration * Proactive maintenance of the servers and recommendation on the improvements to make the environment robust * Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances * Exposure to Execution plan analysis and recommending the performance tuning tips / costlier operations in the queries to developers for tuning * Active participation in performance tuning of the queries * Participating in capacity planning to ascertain the performance of server / environment during the business expansions * Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle * Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance * Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database * Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures * Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects * Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools * Participate in design discussions to come up with solutions * Provide off-hours on-call support Desired Skills of the Profile: * 5+ Years of relevant experience with the exposure to DBA activities, Application maintenance and System administration * Good exposure on Database Design / Modeling / Maintenance * Good exposure to DB tuning and active participation in Query tunings * Able to provide Application and System administration support * Good exposure on UNIX * Good skills in all Oracle tools. * Strong Communication skills Do mail me your profile with following details to rupa@volensoftware.com.
