We are a strategic partner of DPD Group and have built a network to bring a better and closer connection with our customers. we are looking for Database Architect (MYSQL) for our corporate office based out in Bengaluru Designation: Manager â€" Database Architect Location: Bengaluru (Victoria Road) Working Days: 6 Days  Job Overview The database architect to provide standard common business vocabulary, express strategic data requirements, outlines high level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and aligns with enterprise strategy and related business architecture. Database architect is expected to set data architecture principles, create models of data that enable the implementation of the intended business architecture, create diagrams showing key data entities, and create an inventory of the data needed to implement the architecture vision.  Primary Responsibilities and Activities * The Database Architect position is a highly technical too with responsibility to lead the development, validation, publishing, and maintenance of logical and physical data models required to migrate existing independent data marts into the EDW, and for new business requirements to be implemented using the EDW. * A key responsibility is to work with other key roles such as Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, DBAs, etc. * Database Architect will be expected to leverage their knowledge of data modeling best practices along with cross industry data expertise and data modeling tool expertise. * The Database Architect must be capable of working under general direction from a Senior Data Modeler/Senior Data Architect or Enterprise Architect. * Designing databases is the primary responsibility of a database architect. However, the process of designing a highly functional relational database involves a lot more than just setting fields and parameters.  Experience * Must possess sound SQL scripting knowledge with MySQL Server  * Strong understanding of Server-side Software, Performance, Scalability and Reliability Familiarity with Enterprise Java, Web Services, NoSQL, Hadoop, R, Scala, Spark, Storm Excellent Innovation, Time Management, Communication, Mentoring and Evangelism skills Ability to work in ambiguous environments requiring self-direction, maturity and patience * Should have an experience to benchmark various database performance parameter, deliverable of system, process & people by defining different matrix. * Experience with managing meta data for data models and in developing, publishing, and maintaining all documentation for data models * Experience with MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL replication technologies including Master-Master multi-replication, Master-Multiple Slave replication. * MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL administration and support experience including backup and recovery, replication, clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring.
