About Business Unit: Dell's Digital Quality Engineering and Optimization (QEO) organization team is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to ensure stability and high performance of releases for our global cross segment applications. Responsibilities will include developing tools, test strategy for performance engineering and testing of the release, performance testing in an agile environment, analyzing requirements and providing technical, performance engineering guidance and recommendations to developers. IT QEO is an essential stakeholder in the development and release of new features and new apps that support business as well as corporate. Key Responsibilities: - Mentor Team member on all aspects of Performance Testing & Engineering concepts
- Experience in Agile/Scrum and Extreme Programming methodologies
- Experience and hands on in development with more than 2 platforms / tools - Visual Studio, TFS, Git, Eclipse, Selenium, Cucumber, SpecFlow, DevOps tool chain and other Open Source tools
- Experience in deployment automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipeline stages/activities
- Good understanding and experience on Infrastructure services and Cloud Native platforms (VMWare, Azure, AWS, Google cloud) and Docker/Containers
- Experience in service and data virtualization tools and test data management activities across multiple test environments
- Good understanding of application performance and its KPI's, WLM and client-side monitoring / scripting
- Experience building DevOps and Performance Test automation capabilities from ground up for a cloud based and legacy software solutions
- Experience in delivering applications in Blue/Green and Canary paths
- Experience in driving the test automation frameworks and tools adoption in enterprise level
- Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning for testing and SDLC activities
- Good exposure to Ubuntu Docker images
- Experience in Shell scripting / Python & YML
- Good understanding and hands on CICD pipeline & methodologies
- Good exposure to build and deployments, Cloud native knowledge and any PasS experience
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
- Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication
- Acts as technical advisor to leadership team and be a proactive to find and lead the innovative testing and digital transformation
- Experience on GitLab, Concourse, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus and Go is a bonus
Essential Requirements: - Bachelor's degree 8 to 12 years relevant experience; or Master's degree with 5+ years relevant experience; or equivalent work experience
- 6 + of Development, performance testing and engineering experience
- Working experience/business knowledge of the Commerce & Order Management space
- Good understanding of SDLC and testing processes/practices
- Should be able to develop Knowledge span across multiple range of applications
- Strong database skills (fundamental and basic queries)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Good knowledge in more than 3 programing/scripting languages is mandatory
