Role & Responsibilities:
Big Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing of huge sets of data. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes, then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. You will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company
Having good development experience using Core java.
Hands on experience in Hive, Pig and MapReduce in handling transformations.
Good understanding of HDFS, Yarn, MapReduce Frameworks and Hadoop Ecosystems
Evaluate and define functional requirements for Hadoop Ecosystems
Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose a solution
Create, execute and document test cases and results
Prepare process documentation for all processes. Effectively transition implementation knowledge to support teams
Good verbal & written communication skills to interact with the relevant stakeholders Flexibility to work across time zones and diverse cultures and across different technologies.
Coordinate with Business Analysts and customers to develop business requirements and specifications documents.
Develop standard reports and functional dashboards based on business requirements.
Maintain business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard and ad-hoc reports.
Generate reports for internal and external customers for business performance monitoring and business decision making.
Required Competencies:
Working experience of JAVA.
Ability to write MapReduce jobs.
Experience in writing Pig Latin scripts.
Experience in writing Hive scripts.
Hands on experience in HiveQL.
Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Oozie
Proficiency and minimum hands on experience of 5 years in end to end Hadoop
