Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.
Job Description (Overview of Role)
This role will primarily focus on developing solutions for Emerging Markets in Asia Pacific Region enabling new businesses and exchanges.
We follow Agile management, Agile & Scrum delivery methodologies, with a focus on delivering value to our users. Test Driven Development (TDD) is the de-facto development methodology.
As part of an Agile team, the candidate will work with users to refine requirements, design and develop high-quality and scalable systems, and assist users during the QA/UAT process. This is a hands-on, technical position with the expectation that a majority of the candidate's time will be spent on active development tasks
Responsibilities
· Build excellent relationships across technology and user communities
· Work within a distributed Agile team
· Help product owner to prune and refine the backlog
· Contribute to functional & technical design
· Write Test driven bug free code in relevant language/packages of the application
· Coordinate with business users for User Acceptance Testing
· Continuous Integration and Development
Requirements
· 2 + years professional experience developing solutions with Scala or other functional language
· Experience writing Unit Tests and Acceptance/Behavior Tests
· Ability to deliver quality code on timely basis
· Strong data structure, algorithm and problem solving skills
· Demonstrable knowledge of problem domain at previous employments
· Experience working on a team, sharing code base with continuous integration
· Experience working in Linux/Unix environment
· Message-oriented-middleware (Kafka, AMQP, MQ, AMPS, etc.) experience
· Distributed systems experience
· Web Application development (JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.)
· REST API design and development
· DDD/CQRS/Event sourced systems experience
· Experience in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc)
· Experience with automated deployment technologies (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, etc.)
· Experience with 3rd party Scala libraries and frameworks (Scalactic, Scalatra, Akka, RxScala, TypeLevel libraries, etc.)
· Relevant industry (banking middle/back office) experience
· Experience in PL/SQL
Experience : 3 - 12 years
Education : B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech / University Degree
