Essential Technical Skills:
- UNIX Shell scripting
- UNIX Administration, User permissions, File systems etc
- UNIX Installation, Configuration, trouble shooting.
- Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Apache ,JBOSS (configuration and administration)
- Perl
- C
- Amazon Web services
- Software configuration and deployment management
Essential Non Technical Skills
- Experience of working as a support analyst on production systems in a production support capacity
- Excellent written and spoken English. Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally with colleagues and UK Customers
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (Multitasking)
- Teambuilding and knowledge sharing across all members, mentoring the juniors.
- Experience of International projects & offshore maintenance / development projects
- Logical mind with the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Adaptable and willing to learn different technologies to fulfill a varied support role
- Able to ensure all issues raised are tracked effectively to resolution, keeping users informed at all times and involving other support staff when necessary.
- Understanding of support processes such as availability management, problem management, change management, security and SLAs.
Nice to Have Technical Skills
- Microsoft SQL Server Certification
- Database Administration (RDBMS, NoSQL)
- PERL/Unix scripting
- AWS certification associate / professional
- DevOps tool experience che/puppet/Capistrano/ansible
- On shore experience
