Skills and Qualifications
Job title: Manager-SQL DBA
DO:
· Must be able to perform installation, configuration, monitoring and ongoing support of MS-SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 including SSIS & SSRS.
· Should be able to configure high availability features like Log Shipping, Mirroring, AlwaysOn, Replication and respond DR incidents.
· Should be capable of diagnosing & troubleshooting performance related issues.
· Must have strong understanding of consolidation, virtualization and remote administration.
· Knowledge of Financial Applications and should have worked closely with financial application teams
· Working knowledge of database technologies like Sybase, Oracle is an added advantage.
· Should be willing to work in night shifts
Display:
· Graduate : BE/MCA/M.Sc Computers or relevant experience in MS-SQL Server Database Administration
· Total relevant experience should be 9.5+ years
· A solid understanding of Windows Operating System, virtualization.
· Expertise in SQL, T-SQL, SSIS & scripting ability
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in working with the application teams independently especially financial applications
· Must be flexible, possessing the ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios
· Must be detail-oriented, able to work well in a team environment as well as independently
Deliver:
· Work with various teams to support development and UAT servers, database modeling, database design and capacity planning
· Assisting the database managers to support production servers and deliver 99.99% of uptime, ensure SLA and recover from DR incidents.
· Working closely with application development managers and directors to understand the application architecture and provide appropriate solutions
· Working with developers to resolve technical problems in SQL coding, procedure and trigger debugging and performance tuning
· Recommending, implementing, and maintaining best practices.
