| | | Position: Associate Software Architect
Experience:8+ years
We are looking for a Java EE Software Architect/ Solutions Designer who is passionate to work on new Product Devlopment . Software Architect is responsible for understanding client requirements and delivering key technical design solutions (scalable, highly-available, reliable and extensible) through standard practices, incorporating frameworks, development language and methodologies set forth by the Technical Architecture teams using Java/JEE and related technologies.
Job Description
- 8-10 years of hands on experience in Java/J2EE development
- 3-5 yrs of experience in an Architect role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Architected and delivered at least 2 end-to-end enterprise JAVA/J2EE solutions on the JAVA/J2EE stack ranging from scripting, middleware and Integration and Enterprise components for an n-tier distributed solution.
- Experience in SOA and SOA related technologies, solutions and products is preferred.
- Mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen-both broad and deep technology and industry knowledge
- Ability to architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions
- Effective in fostering executive level relationships
- Resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both expectation and crisis management
Desired Skills & Experience: - Ability to understand business and user requirements and translate them into functioning applications and services.
- Experience designing and developing workflow based products (Activiti, jBPM)
- Strong experience on JAVA/J2EE Integration technologies/ Frameworks such as Spring, hibernate is required.
- Experience writing reusable, generic architecture level components.
- Middleware experience (Mule, Camel, Spring Integration).
- Strong experience with profiling, tuning and optimization techniques and tools.
- Strong experience in testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Strong Experience in database & persistence technology using SQL, JPA and Hibernate.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and implementing complex business solutions using web-based technology.
- Demonstrated ability to assess existing products portfolio and define migration strategy and roadmap.
- Hands-on experience in at least one Architecture modeling tool with familiarity in a modeling language is a must.
- Experience in J2EE clustering frameworks and in general clustering is an added advantage
- Proven experience with object oriented analysis and design using UML and data modelling
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
- Experience with SDLC tools & methodologies using jira, confluence, agile, iterative programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop core technology, including active participation in the design/architecture/ coding and testing of new solutions and the refinements of existing code.
- Own delivery of entire piece of system or application and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards.
- Participate in developing software process, coding, design and quality standards across the organization.
- Conduct Investigations and tests of considerable complexity.
- Identify opportunities and present solutions to improve process, coding standards, design and quality.
- Create detailed design specifications for a large scale development effort.
- Provide technical advice or consultation on difficult programming applications to other staff members.
- Produce functional specifications, including feasibility assessments, engineering time estimates, and strategic value assessments.
- Interact daily with team members to ensure that a quality product is delivered in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work in an Agile/Scrum collaborative team environment.
- Highly collaborative team player interested in working on high performing teams.
- Conduct POCs on leading technologies
- Hands-on coding of common library components and various business application.
