It is one of the safest regions in the world, with a culture that endorses and enjoys high levels of social equity. The Basque Country is home to five different World Heritage Sites: the Hanging Bridge of Bizkaia, the rock caves of Altxerri, Ekain and Santimamiñe and the Urdaibai estuary, declared by UNESCO to be a Biosphere Reserve in 1984. Bizkaia Talent is a non-profit organisation promoted by the Provincial Council of Biscay in collaboration with a group of major, cutting-edge Basque companies, research centres and universities.
