Demonstrable track record of design and architecture of high volume web applications.
Strong project management skills with experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Strong leadership qualities and prior experience in managing a geographically distributed team.
Extensive experience in Core Java and J2EE development frameworks.
Proven experience of using WebSphere, Spring Framework, and experience in designing and using RESTful/SOAP Web services.
Experienced in Web Application security, Authentication methodologies, and SSO technologies.
Must have strong SQL experience (DB2 preferred).
Demonstrable experience of test-driven development alongside use of automated test frameworks, mocking/stubbing and JUnit.
Demonstrable experience of implementing Java best practice especially around scalability and performance.
Experience using Jira and Strong trouble shooting skills.
Secondary Skills / Desired skills.
Good understanding / experience in the following technologies would be a plus
HTML5, CSS3 and Angular Javascript experience.
Problem solving, risk assessment and lateral thinking ability.
Ability to take sole ownership and responsibility of projects.
Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, task-intense environment.
Works effectively with others towards achieving objectives.
Communicates in a clear and concise manner both written and oral.
Ability to communicate with both technical and business entitie.
Awareness of financial impact of design decisions.
Experience of managing multiple projects.
Report/documentation writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work outside of normal working hours where necessary.
