We have immediate openings for MYSQL DBA Consultant Permanent position Job Location: Bangalore NP:Immediate/Max 30 days Job description: This is the job description Job location: Bangalore Job position: Permanent Exp: 5-7 yrs JOB ROLE: MYSQL DBA (Sr) Around 5 to 7 years DBA experience in a Linux/UNIX environment (preferably MySQL) · 24 * 7 Support of MYSQL Databases. Readiness to work in any shift on rotational basis · Monitoring the Database and Working on Tickets. · Installation of MYSQL Binaries : Installation of MYSQL software as per customer standards · Creation of MYSQL instance : Creating MYSQL instance and Databases as per customer requirement · Sizing of MYSQL Databases: Coordinating with the application team and sizing the database appropriately · MYSQL Access Management: User/grants creation and security management · Performance Tuning: Identifying slow queries and tuning them. Suggesting instance level parameters for performance tuning · Backup and Refresh of MYSQL Database: Backing up MYSQL and carrying out restore/refresh of the same as per requirements · High availability setup using Master/Slave ( Replication): Setting up High availability in MYSQL for critical applications · Estimate MySQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage · Support MySQL database replication · Develop and implement database backup and recovery solutions · Strong Knowledge on RDBMS concepts, architecture · Strong knowledge on UNIX/Linux to configure, maintain and monitor database instance(s) · Working experience in critical production environment on multiple database technologies · Ability & willingness to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to them.
