Automation SDET Lead :-
Sears Online is looking for Automated Testing candidates that are passionate about automated testing and can talk about the successes they have achieved through automation. If you have real experience in integrating, building out or using large scale automated software testing solutions or are looking to take your already solid automated testing experience to the next level, then please read on.
The Senior Level Software Development of Test will actively support testing of new Functionality hitting Sears.com or Kmart.com in a largely automated manner as well as proactively identify and define and drive new automation capabilities within the organization. You will engage with Dev Engineering, other Test Engineers, Product Management, Content Management, Production Support and Operations to support these efforts across our multiple properties and/or functional areas. Innovation is strongly encouraged and opportunities exist for leveraging existing automated testing capabilities to support non-traditional testing needs. Additionally, as required, this Lead Engineer in Test will be expected to; drive testing responsibility of projects with minimal supervision, define new testing capabilities for our automation framework or automation dashboards, mentor and train new team members and coordinate offshore testing activities. While you will be actively leading other SDETs, this is a hands-on role that will require you be actively engaged in project work plus automated testing and sharing in off-hours support as needed.
Experience
Minimum 3-4 years using Core JAVA is a must!
8+ years related experience in Software Engineering, Automated Testing and/or Quality Assurance.
2+ years supporting/using/building JAVA based automated Testing of web applications - Selenium/WebDriver (not IDE) highly preferred.
2+ years developing or testing Web Services.
Minimum 2+ years prior lead experience
Previous experience building out automated testing alongside feature development.
Strong knowledge and understanding of test automation, concepts, theories and best practices.
Strong knowledge of software quality best practices
Skills
Strong understanding of Core JAVA and OO Concepts is a must
Strong understanding of Database, SQL & No SQL (MySQL, Mongo, Casandra, Hadoop Pref)
Experience with multiple testing & development methodologies including: Code Driven Testing (CDT), Data Driven Testing, Keyword Driven Testing (KDT), Modular Driven Testing (MDT), Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Natural interest and desire to drive innovation through automation.
Strong belief in the benefits of embracing and leveraging automated testing
Previous experience working with open source tools
Commitment to driving excellence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Automation Engineer
The Automation Engineer will be supporting our expanded automated testing activities across multiple online properties and applications. You will engage with Engineering, QA, Product Management, Content Management, App Support and Operations to collect requirements, develop and support automated test scripts and define new automated testing solutions as required. Innovation is strongly encouraged and opportunities exist for leveraging existing automated testing capabilities to support non-traditional testing needs.
Experience
Minimum 2 years using Core JAVA is a must!
Minimum 3 years related experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance and/or Automated Testing.
Previous experience supporting/using/building JAVA based automation solutions is preferred but not mandatory
Good knowledge and understanding of test automation, concepts, theories and best practices.
Good knowledge of software quality best practices
Skills
