POSITION DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsible for overall architecture of the Inspirata Digital Pathology Solutions platform and interoperability with 3rd party products
*Develop and maintain technology roadmaps applying in-depth knowledge of product related technologies, technology platforms, architectures and engineering design principles and advancements
*Lead and maintain standards across the entire product stack including: frameworks, tools, and processes utilized across the software development department
*Leverage technical and clinical depth to work on initiatives such as quality excellence, deployment, and product serviceability
*Evangelize proven architectural concepts, best practices and design patterns
*Provide technical leadership to bridge the design of the logical application architecture to the physical infrastructure architecture. Includes the development of standards and transition plans to bridge current state into desired future state.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
*Exceptional software engineering skills with a track record (10+ years) of getting stuff done
*Practical experience in product development processes and lifecycle management
*Experience with application architecture, security and data modeling
*Experience in SOLID design principles and design patterns
*Up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML5, CSS3 and JS and frameworks used (Angular JS, Kendo UI), Web APIs.
*Up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the .NET platform and SQL Server
*Team oriented - ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.
DESIRED:
*Masters in Engineering or related field
*8+ years relative engineering experience
*Experience developing software for a medical device
*Experience with HL7, DICOM
*Proven ability to influence peers and management at all levels
*Experience with Agile
