Out client is treading on an exciting new business journey exploring the online channels in retailing. We need techno-functional experts, who can partner with us, in achieving these goals.
The person should help implement IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfilment suite, to deliver a superior end customer experience, by executing and coordinating order fulfilment processes across the extended supply chain network; thus enabling customers to seamlessly order from anywhere, fulfil from anywhere and return to anywhere.
The person should specialize in definition and development of flexible, scalable, high-volume / high-transaction supply chain for eCommerce implementations, leveraging IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfilment suite, along with associated products like SAP etc.; ensuring alignment and leverage of enterprise solution patterns, technical roadmaps, standards and architectural methodologies.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecting technology solutions on complex, strategic business issues that can be solved through the use of IBM Sterling Multi-Channel Fulfilment suite of products and associated technologies
Define the technical design for solution hardware and software, hardware and software configurations, product extensions, interfaces, etc. ; provide product implementation expertise including system design, application functionality and design, development, testing, and deployment
Institute and implement the entire performance engineering practice
Taking a lead in resolving critical issues in Prod and downstream environments
Deliver results in an environment consisting of internal and vendor development teams
Mentor junior team members and ensure that the software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards, through code and design reviews
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Knowledge of Retail Best Practices of Order Management, Demand Planning and Replenishment, E-Commerce, Payments and Promotions, Warehouse Management, Transportation and Logistics and Reverse Logistics.
Extensive knowledge of implementing enterprise implementations on IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfilment Suite v9.x
Experience in customizing the MCF Agent Framework, Service Definition Framework and Presentation Framework
Core knowledge of Java programming (including Swing), J2EE API (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS), Frameworks (Struts, Hibernate)
Experience in XML, XML, parsers, and XSL
Good working knowledge on RDBMS ( DB2, Oracle )
Working knowledge of Unix (Red Hat LINUX) and Windows
Experience working with Sterling Commerce complementary products: IBM WebSphere, Cognos, JMS compliant queues
Experience working with product that touch Sterling Commerce integrations points: CRM products, ERP products, EAI tools, merchandising systems, other WMS products, point of sale products, payment processing applications, tax calculation packages, shipping applications, etc.
Sound familiarity with Inventory (Adjustments and Sync) concepts
Experience in understanding various non-functional aspects in order \ warehouse management application design and provide a solution to optimize performance, scalability, security etc.
Understanding of Integration Architecture and synchronous / asynchronous interface modelling.
Knowledge on Marketplace, B2C, B2B, C2C models of digital commerce
Must be able to understand business requirements, strategies and processes and understand the implication to system operations
Must have the ability to estimate the financial impact of architectural alternatives
Must have the ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems
Must have the ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions
Must have the ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new and/or emerging technologies
Must possess strong analytical & debugging skills; capability to troubleshoot development and production issues; Skilled in activities such as query tuning, code profiling, memory profiling, debugging, etc.
Demonstrate the ability to deal with ambiguities
Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
Must be able to work in an unstructured fast paced environment
EDUCATION \ Experience
BE \ BTech \MCA
10+ years of total technology experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years hands on experience in architecture, design and development using Sterling Commerce OMS and WMS platforms on eCommerce implementations
