We have very urgent opening for BI Architect with US based IT Company Job Role The business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse (DW) Solution Architect will focus on delivering the vision of the department through process, development and lifecycle. They will work directly with stakeholders and team members to define, design and deliver actionable insights while working with ETL developers and BI developers in an agile environment. * Database Technology: Bigdata (NoSql), SQL Server, Netezza, Hadoop, MongoDB, Cloudera, * ETL Technology: SSIS, DataStage, Talend, CRON scripting, Perl * BI Technology: SSRS, SSAS, Tableau, MicroStrategy * Demonstrated experience writing SQL packages for loading and transforming data sets. * Experience with applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as MS SQL Server, Crystal, etc. * Extensive experience in designing, building and testing ETL data loading jobs without commercial ETL platform. * Demonstrated experience in dealing with large datasets from variety of different sources, each with varying degrees of data quality and cleanliness. * Advanced database skills across a range of technologies, including SQL, and database architectures. * Knowledge in database administration functions such as performance, security, backup & restores, schema migrations, and normal maintenance. Demonstrated skills in data modeling. Must be able to understand business requirements and translate them into technical deliveries. * Responsible for the data extract, load, and transform (ETL) development, data modeling, data development, and data handling. * Formulates and recommends standards for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the DW ecosystem. * Participates in the planning for retirement of systems programs, and migration of systems infrastructure. * Develop business cases and ROI for department to get buy-in from senior management. * Interview stakeholders and develop BI roadmap for success given project prioritization and budget. * Evangelize self-service BI and visual discovery while helping to change Excel based culture. * Work closely with DW manager to ensure prioritization of corporate and departmental objectives and projects. * Champion data quality, integrity and reliability throughout the department by designing and promoting best practices. * Provide assistance to DW team members with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems and/or programming knowledge. Provide on-the-job training for new or less experienced team members. * Provide technical training to external team members to foster stronger cross-departmental relations.
