The Business Glossary (BG) team is part of Informatica's Core Metadata Group. Business Glossary increases return on data by providing a common business vocabulary across the organization. This vocabulary removes ambiguity from conversations, reduces errors, speeds up project delivery cycles and enables the delivery of trusted data in support of informed business decisions and processes
Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with a proven record of developing and delivering enterprise class software. In this role, you will be responsible for design, architecture and delivery of a product feature or component. You will work in a fast paced environment delivering product and feature increments in short iterations. Your technical skills will be very critical to deliver product functionalities across releases.

Your Responsibilities
As an integral part of the CMG, R&D team you will be responsible for the following -
1. Write high quality code using your in-depth knowledge of JavaScript based UI frameworks
2. Be very hands-on and own/drive key product features
3. Collaborate effectively with peer engineers, and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end components & features.
4. Demonstrate ability to multi-task
5. Handle customers escalations that are routed to R&D from Global customer support (would require you to re-prioritize your tasks efficiently)
6. Gather and interpret broad requirement specifications from customers/Product Management that are not yet fully defined.
7. Produce functional specs and designs based on high level requirements.
8. Estimates efforts, identify risks, meet project schedules.
9. Develop excellent understanding in breadth and depth of Informatica's products and contribute to future roadmap and goals
10. Be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy and fast growing distributed workplace
11. Conduct technical interviews. Demonstrate ability to judge candidates all-round suitability for a position.
12. Work in an agile software development team delivering product and feature increments in short iterations
13. Mentoring and providing technical guidance to other team members
Your Qualifications
-BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
-Excellent coding and design skills in JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, Bootstrap / other JavaScript based UI frameworks, HTML5, CSS, responsive web design and core java
-9+ years of experience in developing innovative enterprise products
-Familiar with open-source UI frameworks and API standards.
-Strong understanding of Object oriented design and programming.
-Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
-Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
-Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with Open Source technologies: Tomcat, Eclipse, Ant/Maven, Linux.
-Familiarity with Agile process will be an added advantage
