Detailed Job Description for a Senior iOS Developer:
Department Responsibilities
Responsible for the architecture, design and development of FICO iOS mobile apps and modules, and driving and co-ordinating activities that lead to successful outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Able to architect and design iOS apps and their interaction with outside systems
* Hands-on programming iOS apps
* Co-ordinate activities in the iOS subteam and with others in the wider team
* Mentor other team members
* Learn and adapt to newer technologies (cross platform, JavaScript etc.)
* Drive evaluation and use of iOS technologies, tools, development and testing processes
* Be adaptable to team requirements eg. play the role of tester/reviewer if need arises
Experience and Qualifications
Overall experience of at least 8+ years with at least 5+ years of experience in iOS development
Technical Skills and Abilities
* Excellent programming skills in Objective C. iPhone/iPad development, XCode, iOS SDK.
* Experience in developing (creating and consuming) libraries and frameworks
* Well versed in interfacing with web services (RESTful, SOAP, JSON, XML)
* Good grasp of network security concepts and implementations
* Coding and security best practices
* Strong across iOS implementations and ecosystem eg. push notifications, background modes, location services, store/review processes, profiles
* UX and UI
It would be advantageous to have skills and experience in:
* Cross platform development and HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
* Swift
* Backend system architecture and development
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
