Skills
Database versions: Look for someone with 10g, 11g & 12c
Essential:
Sound knowledge in Oracle Database architecture and functionalities
Proven track record on Oracle RDBMS & features e.g. ASM, Dataguard, RAC.
Working knowledge on Environments e.g. Unix and Windows
Sound knowledge in Oracle database backup and recovery techniques
Well experienced in Oracle Tools e.g. Sqlplus, RMAN
Exposure on Database versions 7/8i/9i/10g/11g & 12c on Solaris,Linux and windows
Hands on experience in Oracle database upgrade using manual and DBUA menthod
Hands on experience on RAC technologies with installation and troubleshooting experience
Good exposure on database performance issues and tuning database, sql queries
Hands on experience on Backup and Recoveries using RMAN, User Managed backups (hot backups)
Good knowledge in Oracle database refresh/cloning tools like exp/imp, datapump, rman
Working knowledge of ASM storage, maintenance and troubleshooting
Exposure to disaster recovery exercise or other BCP methods
Good exposure to Oracle monitoring tools like OEM and TOAD
Experience in Shell scripting
Desirable:
Unix shell/Perl scripting would be an added advantage.
Other RDBMS concepts would be an added advantage.
Experience of DataGuard setup/maintenance
Replication Technologies like GoldenGate
