Responsibilities :
Strong advocate for building quality into the product
Decompose requirements and user scenarios into test scenarios and test cases
Estimate work and create test plan that aligns with project deliverables
Create and implement end to end test strategies that verify the integration points between the application and the DW, as well as the integration among DW components keeping in mind the requirements, design and implementation of the product
Analyze customer databases, selecting data sets to effectively drive test efforts
Identify test data requirement and generate data sets for testing
Work with development to instrument code for manual and/or automated testing
Coordinates with team to eliminate redundancy, ensuring high coverage with optimal effort
Deliver a high quality product, through code coverage, code reviews and complexity analysis
Creates and maintains traceability matrix
Learn the domain of the application and become a subject matter expert
Keep abreast with latest technologies and test techniques
Play a key role in the transfer of knowledge to team members and ensure they have the knowledge, skills and tools necessary for effective testing
Provide daily direction to the team and mentors them
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the test environment
Frequent collaboration with other QA Leads - maintaining a collaborative relationship exchanging ideas and effectively communicating the need for additional knowledge
Strong collaboration with stakeholders including Dev, PO and PMO
Develop, extend and adopts test automation for the entire product
Implement robust automated test suites that are maintainable, reliable, repeatable and are Database/Platform agnostic
Accept constructive feedback
Analyze defects, understand root cause, work with the development and QA managers to agree upon corrective actions
Provide timely status, understand test progress, critical issues and the overall integrity of the components under test.
Adopt test case maintenance tools, defect maintenance tools.
Qualification:
Total 5 - 13 years of experience
3+yrs of experience in BIgdata
7+ years of experience of relational databases, preferably SQL Server or Oracle
4+ years of Test Automation experience, preferably SilkTest/Selenium/SoapUI
3+ years of experience as a QA technical lead with team size of around 3-5
Knowledge of Meta Data and Reporting Infrastructure
Understanding of globalization test techniques
Coding experience, preferably in Java/C#
