Job Description
* Understanding the customer's business requirements, business processes and system functionality and industry standards
* Define architecture principles, end to end architecture including data architecture, integration architecture, and reporting / visualization architecture.
* Assess DW BI maturity of customers and consult customers on DW BI technology strategy, architecture definition and design
* Preferably define or work with vendors to define Infrastructure architecture, capacity sizing for DW BI implementations.
* Help customer in quickly developing Proof of concepts, demos to prove technology choices and able to help customer prepare case for various technology choices or initiative.
* Consult customers on variety of data related initiatives like Data Management, Solution Architecture, Data architecture, Data quality management, ETL, Reporting, Advanced Visualization Analytics, data strategy, modernization and migration, Big data strategy etc.
* Drive solution definition for larger pursuits to support pre sales effort.
* Follow industry trends in the area of DW BI and have internal or external publications.
Skills
* At least 10-12 years of experience in DW / BI industry
* Has handles 2-3 large DW/BI programs as lead solution architect preferably in customer facing role.
* Has experience across multiple disciplines like data, ETL, reporting etc.
* Tools ( at least in 2 out of 3 groups mentioned below)
* Databases / Appliances : Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, Netezza, Verticaetc
* ETL tools: Informatica, Abintio, IBM Data stage, BI Data Services etc
