Roles and Responsibilities:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this position, you will research, design, develop and maintain highly complex software applications. You will also conduct system impact analysis and serve as architect for system component development. You will collaborate with server, network and database teams in designing system software for high performance throughput, and assist in resolving critical cross-domain and production issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Analyzes and defines functional, non-functional and business requirements for software development.
• Assists with training and mentoring of other development staff in requirements gathering.
• Designs highly scalable, enterprise software applications, model database architecture and relation databases.
• Proven understanding or software applications and infrastructure through enterprise implementations.
• Proven programming & technical skills in various languages and products currently used by the company as specified for the position and common for the industry.
• Researches and recommends new software products as well as orchestrates technical innovations for the insurance industry.
• Utilizes and mentors .Net, C#, Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, C#, C/C++, Hibernate, N-Hibernate, Web services, Subversion, Jenkins, Oracle11g, SQL and/or JBOSS webserver and markup languages such as HTML, CSS, XML, JSON. Xcode knowledge a plus
• Defines processes and procedures for integration testing and writes unit tests to ensure high quality applications and to meet business requirements.
• Mentors others in test driven development.
• Builds deployment methods and tools and develops procedures for reliable construction and transition.
• Utilizes an understanding of systems, database and networking with crossover skills to assist the design and implementation of these in custom solutions.
EXPERIENCE: 7+ years’ experience Java and/or .Net Development and Architecture. Ability to teach Object Oriented Concepts and contribute to a Software Development Life Cycle.
