Mandatory Skills:
* Minimum 8+ years of hands-on test experience
* Extensive experience creating test frameworks for large-scale distributed systems and tools like Selenium, QTP
* Extensive experience with debugging and performance tools including Firebug, Valgrind, Wireshark.
* Experience working with a multi-threaded codebases
* Should have developed test automation frameworks/tools to help in regression testing, load testing and scalability testing
* Experience with web technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML/HTML5, Flash
* Strong coding skills with an object-oriented language (Java & C++ strongly preferred)
* Strong scripting skills (Python preferred)
* Must be a very good team player
* Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:
Roles and responsibilities
* Design test strategy, provide test plans including test environment and test data needs
* Design and drive implementation of the test automation frameworks needed to test all the dimensions of a complex, high-throughput distributed system including functional correctness, performance, scale and security
* Provide technical oversight to a team of automation engineers
* Work with customers, understand the complexity of testing, automation feasibility and identify and implement the right frameworks and tools
* Work closely with developers to troubleshoot major product issues, determine root causes, and identify solutions
* Conduct in-depth performance analysis
* Analyze defect patterns across entire product and drive test initiatives to resolve these or prevent them in the future
* Drive improved test coverage across entire product
* Design and develop test tools that allow test team to scale up to support new features
* Evaluate and recommend test tools
* Provide technical leadership and assist test manager to ensure high quality software
* Provide testing architectures and solutions for load testing, scalability testing
