Core Responsibilities
* Should be an expert programmer and be an expert in technical design capabilities
* Take ownership of the technical customer expectation across multiple projects for that customer.
* Should be a competent decision maker in technical aspects and have the ability to bridge the gap amongst all technical and non-technical stake holders
* Should be able to break down the complexity of the technical problem and provide solutions
* Should have excellent technical presentation skills (documentation, presentations, discussions)
* Should be competent in translating abstract functionality to architecture and design documents by understanding the client‟s business
* Should be very strong in both verbal and written communication and should be able to map conversations between business and technology.
* Should be competent in defining the client‟s requirements into a task based plan as an input to proper estimation
* Should be competent in taking the project to production and assisting in performance tuning as per client‟s scenarios.
* Should be competent in mentoring the team in each of the architecture/design decisions being taken
* Should be competent in mapping business requirements to a POC in a short period of time and transferring the knowledge to the development team
* Should be competent in understanding a large current code base and put down best practices to work on it

Development Tools
Windows Development Windows forms GUI, WPF fundamentals and programming in WPF
Browser Based Programming JavaScript and Jquery based programming model. Jquery classes (inheritance, instantiation), AsyncXMLHttp calls to the server
.NET Programming CLR, assemblies, GAC, strong named assemblies, CLR Execution and GC, Data types, Control Flow and Code Access Security for .NET
ASP.NET Programming ASP.NET pages, master pages, page events, controls, custom controls , MVC development with JavaScript and Jquery
Database
RDBMS design SQL Design with normalization and performance tuning of queries
SQL Development RDBMS basics , Complex Queries, Views, Joins, Functions and Procedures
Performance Tuning Working with transactions, multi-user scenarios, cache, and DB performance tuning
Reporting Services Reporting engines and reporting framework
Integration Services Fundamentals of SSIS and ETL operations (specific to HL7 and EDI integration)
Build Tools
Visual Studio Tools Nunit, MSBuild, Project types, code snippets - better productivity with VS
Continuous Integration Server Eg., Hudson (Jenkins), Cruise Control etc.,
Distributed Systems
Services ASP.NET Server side operations, Web Services state management, performance and integration. Windows Service hosting and operations
Web Services & WCF WebServices fundamentals and integration
Connected Systems Understanding of WCF, JSON and REST protocols for data services.
