JD: Brief Summary of Responsibilities: * Handle server replications and preparing process flow documentation. * Able to write Stored Procedures and Queries * Database Administration and Capacity planning * Interaction with different Engineering and IT department of various locations Qualifications/ skills: * Overall 6-10 years' experience in Database Administration role Must have * B.E/BTech/ MCA/ M.Sc/ME/ MTech in Computer Science. * 4-6 years administration experience in SQL server 2005/2008/2012 systems * Excellent skills in database Backup, Restoration, Recovery, Database Maintenance Planning. * Experience in creating Jobs, Alerts and Maintenance Plans. * Experience in Configuring and Troubleshooting Database Mirroring, Log shipping and Replication. * Experience in migration and maintenance of data using various utilities like Import and Export, ATTACH/DETACH Data Migration tools. * Experienced in Performance Tuning and Database Consistency Checks using DBCC Utilities and DMVs. * Experience in tools like SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard, and Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server performance. * Expertise in planning and implementing Database Security by creating users, Roles, and assigning permissions to them * Experience in Migrating SQL Server 2005 to 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 * Good Knowledge on ITIL Practices * Good knowledge of T-SQL script language * Should have prior experience in implementation of policy based management Desired * Identifying slow queries, SQL profiler usage & performance management of database servers * Query optimization * Experience in creation and optimization of Stored Procedures and User Defined Functions Experience in SQL server Clustering Environment. * SSIS ( SQL server integration services ) *Excellent communication skills.
