GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of testing on software products and solutions including but not limited to: acceptance, functional, regression, stress, scalability and performance testing. Develops and/or executes implementation according to project plans and priorities. Duties include test automation, Authoring test cases based on high level test plan and requirements, executing test cases, analyzing results and detecting errors using defined bug tracking system, recording and reporting test results using test plan management system. Works independently with other engineering functions in geographically dispersed locations to design, develop, and implement procedures for testing systems and equipment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and drive complex test projects & manage test delivery
* Plans and estimates QA test team activities, manage test preparation and test execution tasks, ensuring they are completed on time
* Stakeholder/partner management
* Performs risk analysis
* Improve test efficiency by streamlining & re-evaluating existing processes
* Contribute to test automation activities through knowledge of coding/programming in current languages
* Represents the organization on project teams and perform technical project leadership roles. Sphere of influence is likely to extend outside of work group or department
* Fully competent in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a test environment, including necessary equipment, configuration, and software.
* Provide Quality Assessment on the product as needed; write Test Completion Report before Beta/GA with team inputs.
* Stay on top of key QE metrics and bug trends on the project and work pro-actively with Development to manage these at acceptable levels of quality
* Coach/mentor more junior QA engineers on test processes technical product knowledge etc

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup
* Good problem solving skills
* Possesses strong testing domain knowledge both functional and non-functional testing
* Strong analytical skills combined with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with geographically distributed teams
* Excellent understanding of software engineering and test methodologies in the context of an IT solution
* Working knowledge on Automation and Automation frameworks
* Familiarity with QTP, Selenium, Worksoft, Load Runner is preferred
* Experience in performance, scalability and reliability testing in the context of an enterprise solution
* Experience in Mobility & Security Testing is a Big plus
Education & Experience Required
* BSc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
* 9-12 years in Testing and 5+ years in leading complex Test projects
