Job Description

.                                                     Oracle Database Administrator

Install oracle software and create database

Create, maintain and manage users, profiles and roles

Create, maintain and manage tablespaces and datafiles

Manage database space issues including archive log space

Create, maintain and modify database objects like tables, partitions, indexes etc

Reorganize tables, rebuild indexes, reclaim space

Identify and terminate Blocking Sessions

Use imp/impdp tool to export object, schema data

Manage database backups using RMAN and other tools/methods

Clone Databases

Troubleshoot database performance issues like identifying long running queries, blocking sessions, sessions with high resource consumption

Generate AWR report, trace sessions

Make changes to database parameters/environment as per instructions from L3/SME

Exposure High Availability products like Real Application Clusters and Dataguard is desirable

Good communication skills.

Must have experience and inclination towards Quality processes for IT service management
