Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute and advocate the use of open and path breaking technologies throughout the company. As a core developer, you'll be working with numerous open-source technologies and messaging/web service protocols (REST, JSONRPC, SOAP, etc.).
Your challenge will be to innovate within and around the product and make it valuable and useful.
You will be leading our technical team. This will require you to use your strong communication skills and passion for helping and educating teams on technology. This might include posts on technical subjects, documentation or tutorials written, code contributions to an open-source project, presentations given to team.
Ensure adherence to the best practices, design and architecture.
Debug and solve difficult production server problems.
Requirements:
6+ years experience with minimum 4 years experience in Open Source development.
Record of doing more than expected of you.
Track record of career success, a clear impact player.
Top academic credentials (or some other demonstration of your intellectual horsepower).
The company's products are primarily developed in combination of Python, Drupal, MySQL. Whatever technologies, languages, or development environments you've been using, we expect you have mastered them in depth, and we expect that you will be able to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future.
Incredible coding skills and expertise in multiple programming languages such as C++, Python, PHP.
Experience with open source infrastructure software.
Programming ability way above average with demonstrable knowledge of modern enterprise architecture and standards (e.g. SOA, SOAP, Web Services, XML, REST, JSON, XA Transactions, TCP/IP, HTTP, PKI).
Technology is being redesigned and requires the candidate to cope with a fast learning environment and good attitude towards handling changes. Curiosity and thirst for quality are a must.
