Developer - Management Information Systems
The role
The purpose of this role is to develop management information systems, plus other systems that may be required by the firm. The role will also involve development of new systems and ongoing maintenance of existing systems.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Development Manager, the main duties of this role will include:
* Developing management information systems
* Developing other systems as required by the business
* Ongoing development and maintenance of existing systems
Experience
* Some prior exposure to the financial services industry would be beneficial
* Enthusiastic and motivated to respond to new opportunities and technologies
* Proven ability to plan and execute tasks, both alone and within a group
Technical Skills
* Database fundamentals - relational and dimensional modelling
* Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or above) including Transact-SQL programming
* Microsoft development tools (C# / .NET / ASP.Net)
* Ruby (or other scripting languages) would be beneficial
* Agile methodology including tools such as Git and JIRA
