| Dear Job, Data Analyst - Microsoft BI. Role Outline The role of Data Analyst â€" Retail banking group,is based at Muscat, Oman and reports to the Manager leading the Project. Data Analyst Resource will be part of the business teams which will help in providing analytical solution to Microsoft BI tool †The key requirement for the role is the ability to work with data, understand the project objectives, undertake analysis to accomplish project objectives and present the results in a coherent manner. The individual will possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude. Service Description Service Title: Services of Data Analyst Reports to: Business Lead Job Purpose: Provide analytic support to the business teams and apply understanding of Microsoft BI to accomplish project objectives. Should be able map, develop, test and implement metrics developed using the BI tool. Responsibilities Data management: Develop understanding of source of data and mapping of data for each metrics. Development of metrics using Microsoft BI â€" Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012, SharePoint 2013, and Office 2013 technology platforms. Coordination with vendor â€" Coordinate with vendor to troubleshoot issues related to metrics and establish solution. ï‚· Project Execution: Deliver consistently on simple individual analytic projects/subâ€part of large analytic projects. This would require an understanding of analytical tools and techniques and the ability to apply the relevant tool/technique to create analytical models for given business problem. Business Knowledge: Develop business context and knowledge. Proactively seek out best practices and adopt the same in day to day functioning. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with own immediate team. Establish trust and confidence with the business partner teams. Communication: Work with the team to present project analysis to the business teams effectively Candidate Specification: 4â€5 years of work experience in quantitative analysis in financial services, retail or telecom (Banking and or insurance). Typical areas may include:Business Analytics using Microsoft BI tools 2â€3 years of experience in Development of Queries in SQL : proficient in query management and reporting tools (SQL and similar). Candidate should be willing to travel to Muscat. Should be willing to join Immediately. | ||||||||
