Job Description :-
Java/J2EE, Struts/Spring, Web services/SOA/Portal
Looking for a software professional with more than 7 years of experience in design and implementation of Java/J2EE based applications
Experience Required:
* 6+ years of experience in design and implementation of Java/J2EE based applications
* Proven experience deploying/packaging Java applications to JEE containers (Tomcat/Weblogic/JBoss/WebSphere/any other server)
* Extensive experience with successful implementations of highly scalable and highly available systems in a multi-tier environment
* Progressive experience in computing, development, and/or client/server application integration and implementation
* Experience with agile development processes, specifically SCRUM
* Good experience in SDLC phases system software analysis, development, testing and maintenance
Skills Required:
* Expertise in Java/J2EE, UI frameworks Struts/Spring, Web services/SOA/Portal, LDAP, MS SQL
* Expertise in testing tools like SOAP UI, JUnit and hands on in unit and functional testing of services/web screens
* Development tools (Maven, Ant, Hudson/Jenkins, Jira, Redmine, Eclipse)
* Subversion (SVN) source control
* Good knowledge on basic OOPS concepts and design/integration patterns
* Excellent knowledge of UNIX/Linux
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging and analytical skills
* Ability to scale quickly on new technologies
* Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, self-motivated and perform well under pressure
Roles & Responsibilities :
* Designing, hands-on development and providing technical solutions based on the system requirements
* Technical ownership of the projects and deliver them without any handholding
* Prepare the design artifacts, review and approve
* Hands-on coding and perform review and approve
* Ensure appropriate design and coding standards are adhered to
* Build and release management
* Report status to the offshore/onsite manager
* Verify readiness of the milestone for release through release review
* Obtain QA and customer acceptance on the deliverables
* Technical mentoring of the junior members of the team
* Ensure defects reported for resolution by coordinating between dev. team and test team in resolving the defects
