Not sure if the timing or location is right but we have a 6 month contract to hire Northbrook, IL area for a Information Architect.
Job Description:
Focus on strategy, design, architecture, implementation of Client's Search, Web Content Management and Enterprise Content Management capabilities. Interfacing and partnering with the delivery organization and other architects, acting as a SME focused on their long term business objectives and scalable upgrade strategies.
Candidate must have the ability to form strong working relationships with delivery partners and approach technology delivery as a partnership between architecture and delivery organizations.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable authoring and delivering presentations in front of large audiences.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for enterprise-class Search, WCM & ECM solutions
- Develop technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; proper upgrade paths, preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle
- Design for enterprise-class Search, WCM & ECM platforms including network, server and desktop implications
- Ability to understand network implications and work with network SME's to plan proper network for Search, WCM & ECM delivery
- Design for enterprise-class Search, WCM & ECM
- Understand the existing Search, WCM & ECM configuration and architecture
- Gather and document business and functional objectives
- Work with Business Analysts to design and develop capabilities that meet business requirements
- Examine requirements documents and create technical designs, unit tests, system tests, and implementation plans for projects
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Search, WCM & ECM enterprise solutions
- Experience with HP/Autonomy Idol is required
- Experience with HP/Autonomy Teamsite is a plus
- Experience with HP/Autonomy MediaBin a plus
- Experience with industry accepted design patterns and best practices required
- Ability to demonstrate strong team interaction, time management, consulting and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to multi-task with minimum supervision
- Ability to share ideas through blogging, technical writing, and within a local community is a plus
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing demands
