Solution Architect:
The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements. The Solutions Architect works as a team member along with the Program Manager, Developer and Technical Architect to deliver the complete solution for the customer.
The candidate should have a strong Java/J2EE, database development and document management experience encompassing the full software development lifecycle. The candidate will be involved in requirements gathering, design, architecture, implementation and support for software solutions. The candidate must have solid oral and written communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable in a technical role in a geographically diverse environment
We are looking for a candidate with 9+ years of experience.
* Technical: A deep technical understanding required to develop modules ranging from server components to user interfaces in a Global Delivery Model. The person should be familiar with developer best practices, but also be flexible to adapt to the team's established best practices and environment
* Initiative/Ownership: The person must be self-motivated, moving the project forward against any obstacles, production or otherwise, along the way
* Analysis: The person will work with his/her local/global team and managers to help define their business practices and suggest solutions that improve efficiency
* Communication: The person will need to influence and motivate people of various interests and seniority levels. He/she needs to show past experience in utilizing various influence skills.
* Ability to lead small/medium sized teams
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills; making presentations to customer or client audiences or professional peers, and working independently on problem solving
* Ability to work in a fast paced, technology environment
SKILL / EXPERIENCE
The position requires strong Java J2EE based enterprise and database development background with experience encompassing the full software development lifecycle.
Solution Architecture: Hands on experience in designing a J2EE based web application with Document Management and Document Generation applications
Document Management System: Hands on experience in implementing document management systems such as Documentum or Sharepoint or OpenText Livelink or Alfresco or Vignette.
Document Generation: Hands on experience with one of the document generation tool with document template capabilities as well as API support to integrate with Java/J2EE applications.
* Java/J2EE: Core Java, Spring 3.0, collections, Threading, Design Patterns and annotations.
Sound understanding of application architecture, design patterns and good understanding of how to build enterprise applications.
* Web Service: Hands on experiencec in implementing developing top down and bottom up web service development using Apache CXF (SOAP based and RESTful)
Application Integration: hands on experience with integrating different applications using varied integration patterns (web service based, API based, database driven etc).
Database: IBM DB2 UDB (stored procedures, triggers etc), O/R Mapping Tools like (Any ORM - Hibernate, ibatis, torque)
Must have experience using at least one ORM tool
* SDLC: Has worked in an iterative or agile methodology of software development.
* Working knowledge of:
o Linux/Unix
o SVN
o Shell scripting
o Maven
